English Beat

Sat, Jan 5| 6:30pm | $25 | Full Bar | All Ages

Dave Wakeling is a hell of a nice guy! Dave loves to tell you the stories behind his songs, either from stage or after the show. Ask any one of the thousands of fans who have met him over the years and that’s what you’ll hear. Never mind that Dave is the singer/songwriter from two of the most popular bands of the end of the millennium, The English Beat and General Public, he’s a stand up man from Brum. Whether it’s the personal as political in How Can You Stand There, making politics personal in Stand Down Margaret, taking a stand against global warming as he did making Greepeace’s Alternative NRG, or helping little kids stand tall with Smile Train, Dave has always stood for something. He moves to Paris to follow his dream, and with the help of hapless garbage boy Linguini he puts his culinary skills to the test in the kitchen but he has to stay in hiding at the same time, with hilarious consequences. Remy eventually gets the chance to prove his culinary abilities to a great food critic but is the food good? A Pixar animation. MPAA Rating: G Run time: 1 hours, 51 minutes

“A Christmas Carol… Askew” at the PAC

Dec 21, 2018 | 07:30PM – 09:30PM

The Big Bear Theatre Project presents it’s own hilarious version of the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge at the PAC on December 21st and 22nd  at 730pm and December 23rd for a 2pm matinee

When asked for a brief description of A Christmas Carol …. Askew, Steve Cassling’s response is ”It’s indescribable!” A Christmas Carol … Askew is an original panto written by Steve Cassling. The show contains bold humor but stays family friendly with some slapstick humor for the kids. The show closely follows the story of the original Charles Dickens classic ”A Christmas Carol” with a few twists and turns. There is improvisation from the actors and the direction can vary from show to show depending on something as small as someone wearing a silly sweater in the audience. The show involves teasing and is extremely interactive.  Shows start at 7:30pm Friday and Saturday and Sunday at 2pm   Come laugh until your face hurts!     Ticket Prices: General $15.00 – Seniors and Students $10.00 Tickets at The PAC Box Office or thru website

We’re Gettin’ LIT this Weekend!

Time to get Lit!

We are getting Lit this weekend! With the events and activities building up, we are having Lit and Alien Ant Farm this Saturday at The Cave! Check out these amazing bands, amazing restaurants, the local brewery, and other activities throughout the weekend!

Lit | Alien Ant Farm

Sat, Dec 15th | 6:30pm | $38+ | Full Bar | All Ages

A major player throughout the post-grunge boom of the late ’90s, Lit featured the combined talents of frontman A. Jay Popoff, his guitar-playing brother Jeremy, bassist Kevin Baldes, and drummer Allen Shellenberger. The group formed in 1990 in Orange County, California, where it initially performed metal-influenced music under the name Razzle. After changing their name, Lit began embracing a spunky brand of punk-pop that helped attract a local following in California. The group sold out local venues (including Club 369 in Fullerton) and issued two recordings: an EP, Five Smokin’ Tracks from Lit; and the full-length Tripping the Light Fantastic, which arrived during the spring of 1997 and became a college radio hit.
